Prezuva Zoom integration guide

Learn how to add, configure, use, disconnect, and remove the Prezuva Zoom app for live teaching sessions.

Overview

Prezuva lets teachers create interactive lessons and run live teaching sessions. The Zoom integration lets a connected teacher start or reuse a Zoom meeting inside Prezuva teaching mode so live audio and video can run alongside the lesson workspace.

Requirements

  • A Prezuva teacher account.
  • For an independent teacher's first connection, successful age verification confirming that the teacher is at least 18.
  • A Zoom account authorized to create and start meetings.
  • A supported browser with camera and microphone permissions enabled.
  • Students can join the Prezuva class session using the class code or invite link provided by the teacher.

Add the Prezuva Zoom app

  1. Sign in to Prezuva at app.prezuva.com.
  2. Open the editor and choose the lesson you want to teach.
  3. Start teaching mode.
  4. Select the Zoom Connect or video option in the teaching controls.
  5. On the protected Prezuva setup page, enter your date of birth and country or region and confirm the information is accurate. Prezuva uses the date only to calculate eligibility and does not retain it.
  6. If eligible, continue to Zoom, review the requested permissions, and choose Allow.
  7. After authorization, Zoom returns you to Prezuva. Students and underage accounts cannot access this authorization flow.

Configure or manage the integration

The integration is managed from the Prezuva editor. Teachers can connect Zoom, start a meeting for an active teaching session, and return to the editor after authorization.

Use Zoom during a teaching session

  1. Open a lesson in Prezuva and start teaching mode.
  2. Click the Zoom video control to start or open the embedded meeting window.
  3. Allow browser camera and microphone permissions if prompted.
  4. Share the Prezuva class code or invite link with students.
  5. Students join the Prezuva session and can view the lesson while participating in the live Zoom meeting.
  6. The teacher controls when the Zoom window opens or closes for the class session.
Stopping the Prezuva teaching session ends the active teaching session workflow. A new teaching session can create a new Zoom meeting when needed.

Disconnect Zoom from Prezuva

To disconnect Zoom from Prezuva, open the Prezuva editor and use the Zoom connection controls when available, or remove Prezuva from your Zoom account using the steps below.

Remove the Prezuva app from Zoom

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Open Manage, then Added Apps.
  3. Find Prezuva in the list of installed apps.
  4. Select Remove.
  5. After removal, return to Prezuva and reconnect Zoom if you want to use it again.

Zoom data use

Prezuva uses Zoom data only when a teacher chooses to connect Zoom for live teaching sessions. Prezuva uses Zoom permissions to create or reuse a meeting for the active class session, retrieve the teacher's ZAK when needed to start as host, and support the embedded meeting experience.

Prezuva stores Zoom OAuth tokens encrypted at rest and stores teaching-session meeting metadata such as meeting ID or number, password, join URL, and start URL for session reuse. Prezuva does not store Zoom audio, video, chat messages, recordings, transcripts, participant media, or meeting content.

Before an independent teacher's first Zoom connection, Prezuva processes the submitted date of birth and country or region to determine 18+ eligibility. The date of birth is not retained. Prezuva stores only the eligibility result, country or region, verification method, applicable policy version, and verification time. This record is not provided to Zoom and is not used for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
